Capita IT Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Analyst to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join a team based in Upavon but supporting more than 70 locations across the UK. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role requires someone to have a good general understanding of end user computing (laptops and desktops), remote access support and general MS Office applications used by the business. The successful candidate will work with service teams to ensure that contracted SLAs are achieved, service quality and client expectations are met and that there are consistent improvements delivered to the end user community.

What you will do:

- To be the point of contact for end user escalations. Assisting with the early resolution of endpoint (Laptops, tablets, printers) issues by providing technical input. Being the Technical contact for the ITSD team with 3rd party suppliers

- Asset management of both Capita and MOD endpoints

- Technical support for NRC HQ Business Continuity Sites

- Point of Contact for end user escalations relating to Microsoft products and installed applications

- Technical support of bespoke applications such as Moxiesoft and Call recording

- Provide technical input and advice for new projects/solutions. Assisting in the delivery, proof of concept and testing.

- Ensuring any end user incidents are managed to closure with the helpdesk and support teams

- Provide technical support when required on applications such as the SharePoint site, anti-virus, MS Suite

- Management of local printer service to facilitate scanning and printing across three main CAPITA buildings in Upavon

- Assist with SharePoint maintenance & management

- Management and procurement of all bespoke asset requirements for RPP

- User acceptance testing for solutions applied to Chrome Box devices

- Manage the changes related to Capita Group applications - Capita Desktop Portal, Single sign on & O365

- IT Asset management: logistics relating to new laptops delivered, returns to supplier

Your experience will include:

- Previous experience within a Service Desk Analyst role or similar position.

- A track record of working to a high degree of computer literacy to include a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

- Ability to learn new IT applications quickly and adapt to updates/changes.

- Proven experience with in an O3665 environment. General understanding of share point services

- IT Literate with working experience in a 2nd line technical role.

- Very good understanding of desktop/laptop hardware and MS Suite / applications

- Good understanding of SharePoint functionality

- Good understanding of LAN connectivity

- Ability to pick up new IT applications quickly and adapt to updates/changes.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure.

- Ability to establish a good rapport with team members, senior management and suppliers.

- Ability to communicate/present clearly in writing and orally to team members, senior management and suppliers

- Good problem-solving skills.

- ITIL Foundation qualified or previous experience and understanding of working in an ITIL environment.
