Due to an internal promotion, our client secondary in Oldham are in need of an English teacher on a temporary basis for the summer term.

Though initially a temporary post (Easter to Summer), the successful applicant will have the opportunity to secure a contracted position with the school from September 2019.

Situated on the outskirts of Manchester, our client is a well-established secondary with a proven track record of excellent results and a positive reputation in the community. Since the appointment of a new Head, the school has consistently improved in a number of standards which has paid dividends in overall academic performance and the strong climate for learning. English is one of the flagship departments in the school and the incoming English teacher will join a successful department looking to achieve their best ever results again this time round.

“We’re currently looking for an English teacher at Easter, ideally an experienced practitioner keen on their next permanent post or a NQT/RQT looking to progress their career in our progressive academy. Whilst there will be existing schemes of work in place for the incoming English teacher, we would expect they would fully throw themselves into the post and prepare schemes of work for their groups.”

Although this position is initially a temporary post from Easter, due to a successful working relationship between the school and Teaching Personnel, there will be an opportunity for the successful English teacher to join the school directly.
