Payroll Coordinator (fixed term contract)
Wisborough Green (Guildford 30 minutes, Horsham 20 minutes).
Up to £35,000 (pro rata) depending on experience + Benefits
Monday to Friday – 30 Hours Per Week.

We are now recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator to join us on a 12-month fixed contract. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for administering the monthly payroll for all employees. Working with our appointed payroll bureau, this role collates all variable payments for employees and ensures timely and accurate submission of the payroll. This role also coordinates all pension and HMRC submissions.
Payroll Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
+ Administrating the monthly payroll and ensuring all key deadlines are met as required;
+ Working with the companies appointed payroll bureau to ensure accuracy of the monthly payroll;
+ Being the lead contact for payroll queries from company employees;
+ Being responsible for the companies P11D filing;
+ Coordinating the company pension schemes;
+ Overseeing weekly expense payments.
Payroll Coordinator Required Skills & Experience:
+ You will be a competent payroll professional who is likely to have a similar experience in a previous role;
+ Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to articulate an opinion
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work cross-functionally and interact confidently with multiple stakeholders;
+ Be robust and resilient in approach – the confidence to challenge 'push back’ when required;
+ Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines;
+ A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
+ Flexible with a “can do” approach;
+ The ability to work calmly under pressure;
+ Highly proficient in Excel and Sage payroll, knowledge of Microsoft Access would be extremely useful;
+ Team player – understands the importance of collaborative working.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 30 Hrs per week.
Salary: Up to £35,000 (pro rata) depending on experience.
