Role: Sales Manager – Applied Refrigeration

Location: Nationwide - Location Flexible

Employment: Permanent

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus benefits

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Our client is one of world’s foremost refrigeration solutions providers. Their key activities include the design, manufacture, installation and after sales care of refrigeration and HVAC products.

Our client has 10 locations and over 300 employees in the UK.

About the role:

To lead the profitable growth and development of our clients Industrial Contracting Business in the UK in accordance with agreed business plans. In particular, the development of new customers in the UK Food, Beverage and Industrial Refrigeration Sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

Engage and motivate the Applied Refrigeration team

To support and give guidance to the team in achieving financial targets.

Initiate and maintain contact, at the appropriate level, with new and existing customers.

Maintain close contact with the business market, promoting new business growth, gathering and reporting market data

Identifying and exploiting new business opportunities, specifically new opportunities in the above specified markets that the Company should be developing in order to satisfy market demands

Work in close co-operation with the Sales Team to ensure that quotations are prepared, submitted and followed up in a timely and professional manner, maximising quotation conversion, including:

* Producing detailed tenders for submission to customers that ensures the technical, contractual and financial risks are as far as possible eliminated

* Producing detailed cost estimates and tender assessment documentation to determine the financial viability and security of the contract

* Ensuring technical specifications and estimated costs take into consideration the latest EC regulations and which enhance the sales opportunity.

Ensure that customer requirements are correctly interpreted, contract terms and conditions are fully understood and properly negotiated

Conduct sales negotiations within specified limits of authority.

Establish reasons for non-conversion of enquires into sales

Maintain customer contact throughout contract execution, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and assist, when necessary, in the resolution of queries relating to debts, and with cash collection

Submit regular and comprehensive sales and marketing reports via the Company CRM system

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbally and written.

Required Experience:

High degree of technical knowledge relating to industrial contracting

HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Thermodynamic discipline or experience related skills

Significant previous sales or sales support experience, within the Industrial Refrigeration Contracting Sector

Computer literate, ability to use Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word Excel, Project & PowerPoint.
