What's the role?
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager either on a full or part time basis to join our Business Planning Team based in either Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury or Bristol (must be flexible as travel between these offices will be required).
This is a highly commercial FP&A position, working closely with the business in the formulation of the financial strategies. The position offers a great opportunity to have a real impact and a chance to influence the strategic direction of the business and delivery of its community focussed objectives.
You will be:
* Manage the production and reporting of the 30 year business plan. Challenge and model the impact of business decisions and ensure that all known material changes to budgets and forecasts are modelled within the 30 year plan. * Provide robust stress testing of risks and assist in supporting the Board to formulate mitigation strategies as required. * Prepare accurate and timely financial planning and related finance reports to relevant Committees and the Board to enable informed decision making as required. * Prepare external reporting returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. * Provide analysis to inform financial strategies required to support Corporate Plan objectives. * Monitor and maintain up to date benchmarking of Bromford’s financial performance and key metrics. * Provide and develop financial evaluation models for business propositions and opportunities and assist with the preparation of business cases. * Provide support to the Head of Business Planning and work across the Financial Planning team covering key time critical activities. * Ensure that up to date written procedures and internal controls are maintained and adhered to. * Provide an effective support service to the Head of Business Planning, deputising during periods of absence. * Work with colleagues and other leaders across the organisation to ensure Bromford is seen as a fair, respectful, open, honest and accountable organisation which values its employees. * Act at all times within Bromford’s rules, policies, procedures, standing orders, financial regulations, health and safety legislation, and adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements.What do you need?
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) * Housing Association experience preferable, including accounting requirements, and funding * Experience of the preparation of long term financial plans, preferably using Housing BRIXX * Demonstrable evidence of undertaking financial evaluations * Experience in writing and presenting succinct reports to Exec Level stakeholders * Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience of partnering and collaborating with operational and finance colleagues to deliver business objectives * Strong IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and high level Excel skills * Commercially aware with experience in a customer focussed environmentClosing date for applications 19th March with interviews taking place week commencing 25th March.
