Payroll Specialist – Warrington – Permanent – 12 Month FTC

Job Summary

Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a brilliant organisation in the Warrington area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join their team.

Key responsibilities:

* Responsible for UK Payroll

* Ensuring an effective and efficient UK payroll operation

* Ensure all payrolls and processed accurately and to a timely manor

* Payroll Administration

* Calculate and processing of termination payments

* Ensure SSP, SMP, SPP are all processed correctly

* Ensuring timely and accurate Payment of taxes eg PAYE, NIC, social taxes

* Audits of payroll process and data input to ensure compliance and accuracy

* Processing overtime, pay increases and calculation of back pay

* Collate and validate payroll data

* Manage Auto Enrolment and compliance

* Provide reports as required on pension payments

* Upload pension data monthly to process the pension payments

* Provide payroll information to the external audit team for annual audit

* Manage relationship with all clients and ensure we receive effective support and customer service in line with service agreements

* Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

* Collating payroll information into a journal and posting entries in Finance system

* Build strong, effective working relationships with Finance and HR

* Manage Childcare Vouchers and Cycle to Work provision - responsible for any queries, communication, reporting, marketing


* Experience in a standalone payroll role

* Fully adverse in Pensions

* Experience of managing benefits

* High Accuracy and attention to detail

* Ability to work to tight deadlines

* Excellent time keeping


* CIPP Part / Fully Qualified

* Client Payroll exposure

* Pensions qualification
