Purpose:

Responsible for international approvals for the products, dealing with different international approval standards, responsible for approvals of new products and yearly submissions due to current products with different notified bodies. Planning, documentation, preparing and tracking the progress. Creating approval strategy for new products. Supporting design engineers and portfolio managers in approval questions. Being part of the global company network and doing scouting activities review and introduce changes in international standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.

2. Managing international approvals means creating an approval strategy, preparing, submitting, tracking and doing the documentation with focus on the products of personal protective equipment including intrinsic safe approvals.

3. Advising the design engineers and product specialists of portfolio management and sales in the interpretation of international standards and upcoming updates.

4. Build up a personal network with notified bodies and test institutes and managing our external partners in terms of product testing.

5. Working together with design engineers and other departments in interdisciplinary project teams as an approval expert in a global network.

6. Support development of regulatory strategy and conformity reviews.

Requirements:

Master degree in mechanical engineering, physics, electrical engineering or quality management.

Experience of dealing with international regulatory processes and approvals and working as a participant in standards committees. Focus on standards e.g. EN, ISO, BSI, NIOSH, NFPA, ATEX, UL, R+TT

2 years of experience in a similar role

Experience of dealing with international regulatory process and working as a participant in standards committees.

A range of approval experience with notified bodies.

Networking experience

Project Management skills would be an advantage

Remuneration:

Negotiable on salary, 25 days holiday + statutory days, pension, free parking, training and developmental opportunities, 37.5 hours / week, early finish on Friday
