Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a Bury based secondary school to support in the recruitment of a Science teacher ahead of September 2019.

This is an open position whereby the incoming teacher will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

* Full time Science teacher – September 2019 start

* Ofsted graded Good secondary school – 2019

* Located on the outskirts of Bury town centre

* Pay in line with MPS/UPS until the end of the academic year (£23,720 - £39,406)

The Head of Science wishes to appoint a Science teacher who can drive pupil progress and an individual who holds the ability to consistently deliver ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice. Results in Science continue to excel year on year, with the amount of students also meeting the expected progress is above national average. Within the school most recent Ofsted report in 2019, it was judged as continuing to be a good school with the leadership team being highlighted to be maintaining good quality of education.

Located on the border of Bury and Heywood, this school is a short drive from the M66 making it easily accessible via North Manchester, Rochdale, Bolton and Salford. There are roughly 950 pupils on roll at this 11-16 mixed comprehensive and the school serves a catchment area of significant diversity, the split of pupils is close to half and half of white British and also Asian heritage.
