The Walton Centre is the UK's only stand-alone neurosciences NHS Trust, delivering a range of specialist services to a population of 3.5 million people across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, the Isle of Man and North Wales.
The Walton Centre Pain service offers excellent development opportunities for ambitious Physiotherapists who strive for professional excellence.
The Pain service offers outpatient physiotherapy clinics including CRPS clinics, triage clinics, pelvic pain clinics, physio led trigger point clinics and pain physiotherapy clinics.
The Walton Centre also runs various Pain Management Programmes (PMPs) which facilitate improvements in quality of life for persons with long-term pain conditions.
This is a newly created post intended to provide specialist assessment and treatment of chronic spinal pain patient's within the Walton Centres pain service. We require a Physiotherapist with experience in triage, management of spinal pain, multidisciplinary working, MSK experience and experience of chronic pain conditions. Candidates should have an interest in and knowledge of cognitive behavioural treatment and ACT approaches in reference to chronic pain conditions. Candidates should also have outpatient experience assessing and triaging complex pain patients and delivering appropriate evidence based treatment.
Working alongside Consultants, Clinical specialist physiotherapists, clinical specialist psychologists, nurses and occupational therapists, you will gain excellent specialist experience within the field of Pain Management.
As an effective team player, you will have excellent organisational skills with an interest in audit and research and a commitment to CPD.
You will provide training and supervision to undergraduate students.
You may be asked to participate in evening and weekend service according to service need.
