This leading provider of research & intelligence for the early years education and childcare sector is looking for an experienced developer to join their team. From guiding quality improvement and investment decisions in individual businesses to informing policy debate at Westminster, their work is varied and influential. For you this means a creative and interesting developer role, with lots of opportunity to enhance their systems and develop new applications, all the while ultimately helping to influence children's life chances.

An experienced developer, you will design, develop and maintain their customer facing websites and supporting systems using the latest tools from Microsoft MSDN, Umbraco and other leading providers.

You will work independently with guidance from a remote-based senior developer, carrying out test driven development, implementing designs using CSS3/HTML5 and integrating with supplier systems.

You will be the main developer, working closely with their research team to translate user-briefs into working systems, helping their business innovate & stay ahead of customer needs.

You will have:

- Minimum 2 years' experience of software development in a commercial environment
- Experience working with C# ASP.NET
- Knowledge of integrating with SQL Server databases
- Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently as the main developer in a non-technical team, translating user-led briefs into robust applications.
- Knowledge of Umbraco and document storage databases an advantage.
