Client is undertaking a major acquisition and Programme team needs an experienced consultant who can operate as project accountant, capturing actual ad forecast programme costs,

The role is high profile and key to ensuring that programme is clear of costs to date and forecasted costs.


* Develop programme delivery budget projection for multi-million pound acquisition, capturing all work-stream cost categories.

* Liaise with programme work-stream leads to understand programme costs and understand movements from original plan.

* Work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain funding for all programme delivery streams - including appropriate paperwork submissions and reporting.

* Work closely with programme work-stream leads to understand actual payments made to agents, with appropriate controls, matching the budgetary funding constraints for each work-stream.

* Work closely with the funding business stream to ensure appropriate payment and recording of programme spend, including associated reporting requirements.

* Work with programme work-streams to develop projections relating to corporate function operational delivery as appropriate - for inclusion in the overall business case and associated financial projections.

* Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

* Advanced Excel skills.

* Good technical accounting skills and familiarity (though not in-depth knowledge)

* Prior Big Four consulting experience supporting at major delivery programme. Would suit individual looking to come out of consulting either Consultant / Senior Consultant level

* Qualified accountant ( CIMA or equivalent )

• Ability to handle ad hoc tasks

Duration of the project: 6 months with likelihood of extensions

Rate to FifthQuadrant £250 /day
