VB.Net Analyst Level 2/ Level 3 Support Analyst - Darlington - Permanent - £28,000 per annum

STR Group are pleased to consider applications for the position of VB.Net Analyst Level 2/ Level 3 Support Analyst working for our client based in Darlington on a Permanent basis.

In order to be considered you will need to have the following experience and qualifications:

Experience of working with Microsoft VB. Net in a structured software development life - cycle, either Waterfall or Agile methodologies.

Experience of working with SQL.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good analysis and problem-solving skills.

Willing to undergo a BPSS check.

We are also looking for the following desirable skills, but are not essential for the position;

Experience of working with Java, WPF, HTML / CSS or Visual Basic.

Experience of working with Oracle, MS SQL Server or MySQL.

Experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management.

An interest or knowledge of UK Railways.

Our client specialises in payments and transactional services industry. This role falls within their Transport division of their business and the team provides functional and technical support to large number of UK train operating companies.

The successful candidate will be working in a small team of technical and functional experts, supporting one or more of the client's rail products. The day to day responsibilities for this position will involve the design and development of small to medium sized enhancements to existing products. Be responsible for responding to documenting and resolving service tickets in a timely manner according to service level agreement. This role may require occasional travel.

This is a Full - Time permanent position working 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. There is flexibility on start and finish times!

The salary for this position is between £28,000 per annum and is dependent on experience and suitability for the position. On top of this is benefits that include 25 days annual leave (including bank holidays) private medical insurance which all new starters will be automatically opted into, pension scheme, life assurance, Income Protection, Personal Accident Insurance.
