We are currently looking for a Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer for our clients who are a local charity offering support and care to individuals and their families.

Our clients are looking for a Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer to join them on a 18 month fixed term contract, in a period of total transformation for the charity, and assist in raising a significant amount of funds for them to build and move to specifically designed building that will offer the best care and support for their families.

The main responsibility of the role will be to work with the team of fundraisers as well as the Director of Fundraising/Head of Major Gifts to develop small and larger bids.

Ideal applicants must be a career corporate or major donor fundraiser and/or experienced in bringing in and managing HNW clients and wanting a high profile opportunity to grow your career.

Role Duties:

* Support the creation of new high value relationships with companies and individuals.

* Research opportunities for potential corporate partners or major givers in the surrounding area to create and manage a pipeline of new prospects to achieve both ongoing revenue and capital appeal targets.

* Proactively approach corporate and individual prospects to secure meetings that lead to donations, sponsorship of our capital appeal or employee fundraising partnerships.

* Develop proposals and applications and presentations through face to face meetings and at events.

* Develop and implement new products to assist in building up corporate support. This may include (but is not limited to); PAYE, events, giving clubs, Corporate Ambassadors, etc.

* Provide the highest level of stewardship for supporters to ensure long term support.

* Be personally responsible for contributing to the Major gifts target for 2019/2020. Work to an agreed corporate and individual target to deliver an agreed corporate income target annually. Monitor corporate fundraising results, analysing and producing regular reports on all results.

* Create and maintain accurate records on the CRM database of all leads, knowledge about partner organisations, individuals and any proposals sent out to prospects.

* When required, provide support to the Head of Major Gifts/Director on major donor activity. This includes researching prospects, arranging meetings, stewardship and any other contact as required.

* Assist with arranging events within the major gifts team, including; launch events and stewardship events.

* Represent the charity at fundraising and other events as required as well as at occasional corporate and partner events.

* Take on other event support, specific fundraising and any other duties at the request of the Head of Major Gifts Director of Fundraising and Marketing.

Candidates must have:

Experience of corporate fundraising, sales, business development or experience of securing support/business from wealthy individuals or organisations, preferably through face to face interactions.

Strong track record of securing new business or individual partnerships.

Understanding of corporate sponsorship, employee fundraising and philanthropy.

Success in driving income and delivering results.

Pitching and proposal writing experience.

Successful project management experience.

Willingness and ability to demonstrate commitment to the charity values.

Ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders at a range of levels.

Significant influencing, negotiation, persuasion and networking skills with prospects.

Excellent oral and written communications skills with the strong networking and pitching, proposal writing and presentation skills.

Ability to work logically, methodically, accurately with attention to detail.

Able to plan and prioritise a varied workload.

Ability to monitor and evaluate activity in order to produce regular reports in a timely fashion.

Work well under pressure and remain calm at all times.

Ability to develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues.

Ability to use and work with databases and standard Microsoft Office packages, including Excel.

Access to own vehicle and current driving licence with insurance for "BusinessUse".Occasional extended hours or weekend work as required (time in lieu is given).

This role is a fixed term contract for 18 month.

30 - 37.5 hours per week.

Salary up to £32,000pa (pro rata if part time)
