Quality Technician

A Quality Technician with a working knowledge of CMM’s is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Washington in the North East of England.

This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence business.

Overview of the Quality Technician contract role

To support the Quality Assurance Engineer, ensuring that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and that product quality meets or exceeds the customer requirements.

Key skills required for the Quality Technician

* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.

* A strong communicator at all levels with the ability to confidently articulate technical information to a variety of stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

* Time served quality technician or equivalent in a manufacturing industry.

* A working knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

* Computer literacy (database, spreadsheet, word processing).

* An understanding of process capability studies and competent report writing skills.

* A basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).

* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
