Cashflow Forecasting Assistant

Wiltshire area

Up to £27,000 per annum + bonus + potential opportunity for study support

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Cashflow Forecasting Assistant on a permanent basis, based in the Wiltshire area. Our market-leading FMCG business is seeking a progressive and committed individual who will sit within their Treasury team.

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Cashflow Forecasting Assistant to join a well-respected business to join a large and growing finance team. This role will sit within the Treasury division but you will work closely with the transactional department and will gain exposure to the wider finance function. This opportunity will involve Cash and Banking based tasks and will also focus on VAT submissions and compliance. This role is perfect for a candidate who is looking to specialise within this area and make this opportunity their own. You will gain lots of exposure to the cash forecasting and work on and with balance sheets in a lot of detail.

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Support the Treasury Manager by maintaining the cash forecast and balance sheet files
  • Support the businesses with customs declarations relating to VAT
  • Maintain the monthly custom declaration reporting from a VAT perspective
  • Be the main point of contact for all aspects of VAT reporting for the Ireland businesses liaising
  • Support the wider Treasury and finance team with month end responsibilities
  • Execute the monthly payments and Receivables transactions
  • with internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining compliance
  • Support the wider team with the company reporting for all Treasury related schedules
  • Execute the hedging transactions in accordance with the policy

Person specification:
  • Understanding of how treasury and cash flow processes, cash flow forecasting works
  • Knowledge of VAT and the VAT submission process
  • Be able to demonstrate enthusiasm
  • Be able to communicate at different levels, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, problem solver, committed
  • Light-hearted and friendly
  • Strong excel ability, SAP is desirable but not essential
