Reach Volunteering is working with Number One Community Trust Ltd in the recruitment of a Treasurer to join their small and friendly Board. The Trust aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of the residents of Tunbridge Wells’ most deprived community. Its objectives include promoting the health and wellbeing of residents; improving the social and economic conditions; supporting the advancement of education and training; assisting those who are seeking employment; and encouraging environmental improvements in the neighbourhood. Role summary The Trust are looking for an individual who can act as a Treasurer to the board who has expertise in finance and accounting and also possesses competent IT skills. The Treasurer will make a significant difference to the organisation by helping them keep a tight grip on their accounts, which is crucial to the trust’s survival and in exchange the appointed person would find themselves part of a lively, friendly group determined to expand and play a key role in a hard-pressed local community. Time commitment Six weekly board meetings lasting two hours plus ad hoc meetings.
