Set in 25 acres of glorious countryside, the Royal Agricultural University offers a stunning learning environment on a historic campus that’s home to 1,200 undergraduate students. Our Cotswold campus has outstanding facilities, including excellent on-site catering and our fully resourced Library.

Right now, we are looking for a personable individual with a real passion for all things marketing and technology, to join us as a Digital Intern and help plan, execute and optimise our online marketing efforts. Could that person be you?

The promotion of products and services through digital channels is a complex procedure with great potential. Indeed, it’s become increasingly useful for universities such as ours. Your challenge as an Intern will be to make various website updates via our Drupal content management system. Adding press releases, updating staff details, amending course information, uploading videos, creating Flipping Books and documents, posting job opportunities etc. – you’ll be responsible for all of this. But that’s not all.

We’ll also rely on you to ensure that web pages are optimised for search engines and across various devices and report on rankings. Working with the Digital Marketing Manager and web agency to make website improvements will feature too, as will writing social media posts and looking for ways to promote us across different channels. And, when it comes to making changes to the staff intranet or updating our digital display screens with current information and events, again, we’ll count on you to do a great job.

To succeed, you’ll need to be educated to A Level standard (or have relevant experience), be tech savvy and know your way around social media channels. You’ll also need to be well versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the Internet can become a strong asset to securing growing revenue. Someone who is intuitive, and has great ideas about how to reinforce marketing campaigns, you have an analytical, critical thinking mindset and the communication skills it takes to develop excellent working relationships. You’re well organised too, with great attention to detail, including when proofreading, and not afraid of working to deadlines.
