Job Title – Accounts assistant
Hours - 8.30am-5pm or 9.00am-5.30pm Mon to Fri
Location – West Bromwich
Salary - £18k - £20k / annum + benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts assistant to join our client based in the West Bromwich area. The company are a leading supplier of office solutions and have an excellent reputation in the market. Working as part of a small accounts team you will be involved in the following:

* Cover purchase and sales ledger duties

* Credit control and other aspects of accounts.

* Sorting out incoming daily post and answering any queries.

* Handling petty cash / cheques

* Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers

* Making sure supplier invoices are approved for payment

* Reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements

* Banking cash and cheque sales

* Setting up approved customer accounts

* Updating prices / Other accounts duties as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS

* 2-3 years accounts experience in a busy varied environment

* You must be reliable, punctual and enthusiastic

* You must be well organised / self-motivated and proactive.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel

* Excellent telephone manner

* Team player
