Engineering manufacturing organisation

Permanent position based in Poole

25 days holiday + Banks + 8% Company Pension

My client is a global British manufacturing organisation who are looking for a driven Production Team Leader from a mechanical manufacturing background. The main focus of the role will be

coordinating daily activities for the production team and prioritising the work load. They are ideally looking for someone with Fabrication, Welding or Sheet Metal environment experience and knowledge of working in a slow-paced / high quality production facility.

Manufacturing Team Leader – Key Responsibilities:

* Manage production to ensure smooth flow of parts

* Experience of setting and working to daily / weekly KPI’s

* Set and communicate to team Day to Day production schedules

* Achieve production objectives of high-quality products through planning

* Train/Coach and mentor teams to deliver business requirements

* Manage attendance and complete other admin duties of the production team

* Drive results with focus On Time Delivery and Right first time

* Apply hands on experience where needed to support team members

* Good working knowledge of lean tools and CI activities

* Effectively resolve difficult and sensitive personal situations

* Ensure proper use of tools along with Health and Safety within the department

* Be proactive with scrap and help achieve zero defects

Manufacturing Team Leader – Deliverables

* Ensure delivery of daily/weekly production schedule allocating resource and collaboration across the team to achieve results

* Manage and ensure working practises are aligned HSE standards

* Consistent Right First Time 97% standards as achieved

* On time delivery to achieve 98%

* Removal of wasted activities using CI and lean tools

Manufacturing Team Leader – Job Specifications

* Experience of supporting and leading team members

* Plan and set priorities for the team

* Knowledge of continuous improvement / Lean activities (5S, 6S, SMED and Process Flow)

* Excellent organisational skills which in turn will deliver OTD

* Problem solver to resolve and day-to-day issues

* Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications
