Recruiting a Training Manager (12 Month Maternity Cover) to join our Learning and Development team in Westminster!

GBP 32,000 per annum plus 25 days Annual Leave, Pension schemes, Staff discounts, healthcare and more.

Training Manager is responsible for the management, design and delivery of Look Ahead's induction and operational skills programme. This will be achieved through planning, developing and sourcing internal and external learning interventions to ensure that staff have the right skills and knowledge to carry out their role and are kept safe at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Commission and market the learning and development programme in line with organisational needs to ensure value for money, professional training delivery and demonstrable outcomes

- Ensure all training offered is innovative and engaging and uses technology wherever possible

- Evaluate effectiveness of the programme to ensure that it demonstrates effective return on investment

- Ensure LMS and e-learning platform is fit for purpose and used effectively

- Ensure the On-boarding site and induction material is up-to-date and engaging

- Develop and co-ordinate a programme to meet the generic and specialist operational learning and development needs across the business in line with CQC, legislation, contract, policy and procedural requirements

- Develop and manage all aspects of mandatory induction for new staff to ensure that they have the correct skills and knowledge and are safe to carry out their role

- Manage the relevant aspects of the Training budget so that training delivered is within the agreed budget

- Ensure prompt payment and the maintenance of budget tracker spreadsheets

- Effective management and development of the Learning & Development Administrator

- Excellent team working with Learning & Development and wider HR team

- Review training budget and needs per operational specialism and central services each year ensuring the training needs identified will be delivered within budget

- Work with New Business on any training costings and plans for new or proposed services

- Work with the Performance team and use iTrent to produce management reports (including but not limited to safeguarding, attendance, non attendance and operational induction monitoring)

- Build excellent working relationships with Managers and Senior Managers at Look Ahead to ensure effective delivery of role

- Liaise with and maintain effective working relationships with external training providers and e-learning provider

- Develop and maintain external relationships with other training managers within and outside the sector to establish good practice and innovative ways of delivering training

- Demonstrate the company values and establish a positive culture that aligns with the organisations strategic objectives

- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures across area of responsibility

- Keep up to date on any regulatory, legal or best practice changes in Training in Supported Housing sector

- Any other duties as required

Person Specification:

- Knowledge of training requirements in supported Housing sector

- Experience of coaching and developing staff

- Excellent relationship building skills both with internal staff and managers and external stakeholders

- Customer outcome focused

- Effective verbal and written communication with staff at all levels

- Previous budgetary management experience

- Positive can do approach

- Ability to learn new skills quickly

- Creative and innovative in ideas and approach

- High levels of initiative

- Flexible in approach

- Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills

- Experience of managing external partnerships and ensuring delivery to contracts

- Able to negotiate cost of training and establish clear outcome deliverables

- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage

- High levels of IT ability with all Microsoft packages and IT systems

- Resilience and able to mange self and effective delivery

- Understanding of regulatory compliance in the supported Housing sector

- Ability to cope with change in a fast paced and challenging environment
