Our client based in Chertsey a manufacturing company are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The role is initilally a temporary role however it will go permanent after 3 months.

Key Accountabilities:

Manage the month end close process. This will include calculating depreciation, accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations (GBP, Euro, USD).
Oversee the monthly sales distributor commission calculation and payment. Reconcile commissions against stock sent. Ensure agents receive communications on a regular basis
Supervise the entry of all Sales and Purchase invoices on a daily basis. Ensure there are no duplicate entries or error transactions.
Resolve customer, supplier and internal queries on disputed invoices
Work closely with other departments to improve / customise our invoice authorisation process.
Manage expenses, petty cash and company credit card
Review any aged debtors over 90 days
Manage all updates for the Sage Line 50 accounts system
Other adhoc duties including completing new vendor forms, occasional scanning, telephone calls.

Filing of intrastat and EC sales online

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of working in a supervisory role within a busy accounts department.
Excellent numeric skills and good attention to detail.
Detailed knowledge of Sage Line 50
Foreign currency experiences an advantage
Intermediate Excel and Word skills and the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
Team player with excellent communication skills including good telephone manner and written skills
