Project Engineer (Capital Equipment)

Eastbourne (relocation assistance available where applicable for successful candidate.)

Up to £38,000 Dependant on Experience + Performance Related Bonus + Pension + Healthcare + Life Cover.

Project Engineer sought within successful capital equipment solutions provider offering ongoing training and development.

The role will be suited to those with proven projects engineering backgrounds, you can be from any capital equipment concept to delivery environment. The key to this role is a solid understanding of equipment/machinery development lifecycles for bespoke projects. You may have a mechanical or electrical engineering bias but must have the experience to grasp the technical specification of all elements of the projects.

The role involves handover from sales, moving to project “kickoff” meetings where approximate schedules and strategy will be mapped out. You will be the main contact between supply chain, design and engineering/manufacturing teams and will ensure all teams are working towards timescales and targets in terms of cost and deliverables for a successful installation at customer sites. There will be the need to travel to customer locations on occasion in line with project needs and you will have regular customer contact to ensure all expectations are met/managed throughout the process.

The Role in Brief:

* Manage and coordinate bespoke capital equipment projects for special purpose industrial process machinery.
* Work in collaboration and support of the Supply Chain, Production and Engineering Managers to ensure a timely delivery of all projects
* Maintain consistent customer contact to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the process from handover to delivery.
* Use of Microsoft Project to regularly report/track project progress in all areas.

The Person Required:

* Experienced Project Engineer from a capital equipment/bespoke machinery development background.
* Must be familiar with full lifecycle project management processes and have strong familiarity with Microsoft project for reporting and project progress purposes.
* Ability to grasp technical specifications with mechanical and electrical engineering documentation.
* Willingness to travel as required to customer locations in line with project needs
