Field Service Engineer – Mail Automation / Printers / Scanners

£25,000 DOE + company car

Midlands – Central UK

My client is an established and growing company with the Mail Automation & Document Scanning industry.

Due to great success, they are currently embarking on an exciting period of growth and are looking to recruit an exceptional Field Service Engineer / Field Service Technician that are hungry to grow with the business.

The role will be a remote position, with an autonomous approach attending service appointments. The successful Field Service Engineer will have proven commercial facing experience and first rate interpersonal skills.

Package:

• £18,000 - £28,000 Basic Salary DOE

The main responsibilities for the Field Service Engineer:

* Individuals in this role will respond to customer demand calls as well as perform preventative maintenance on contracted equipment

* Interacting with company management and other personnel to analyse and correct any equipment performance issues.

* You will also manage machine-part inventory and perform other administrative tasks as necessary, using supplied devices to complete electronic Field Service Reports and preventative maintenance schedules. * Installing equipment and assisting on sales demos with occasional exhibition logistics and support will also be required.

* Travel from site to site providing preventive maintenance and IT support on Mail Automation Equipment, Copiers, and Scanners

* Provide IT support face to face and also over the phone diagnosing problems

* Have a keen interest in IT, inside and out of work keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies and be able to provide strategic advice

* Achieving personal budgets and targets through profitable inventory controls

* Developing relationships with existing and potential customers

To be successful in this role the Field Service Engineer / Field Service Technician will:

* Have a recent proven & successful background in working within the Mail Automation / Scanner or MFD, Copier, and Printer solutions industry

* Must have strong PC / Networking Skills

* Possess strong Electromechanical Skills

* Be customer service focused with excellent communication skills

* Be energetic with a ‘can do’ and positive attitude to work

* Be disciplined and methodical, approaching your work in an ethical manner and with integrity
