We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join our client's offices based in Badminton on a temporary contract basis for 6 months with a possibility of extension.

The post will report to the Accountant – Projects and Schemes supporting the delivery of the clients Transformation and Digital Projects.

Working with the Accountant for Projects and Schemes you will financially challenge and support projects which will include:

* Providing financial modelling options for projects.

* Costing service change options.

* Evaluating the financial implications of business cases.

* Interpreting and communicating financial data to finance and non-finance staff

* Challenging financial assumptions of project proposals

* Supporting changes to the way finance support is provided.

To be successful for the role of Finance Officer, you will need to have:

* Experience of working on Business Cases and significant project management experience

* Recognised CCAB qualification (preferably CIPFA), or Association of Accounting Technician qualified together with considerable post qualification experience in local government, covering the key financial processes of financial planning, budget preparation, budget monitoring and preparing final accounts

* Experience of supervising a small team to effectively deliver a range of quality and cost-effective financial management and financial support services

* Good project management skills to work and oversee projects as and when required

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Experience of undertaking analysis and appropriately communicating the results to the selected audience

* Well organised with excellent time management skills

Pay rate: £19.23p/h PAYE, inside IR35
