Smiths Interconnect is seeking to recruit a Global Supply Chain Analyst to join the organization on a permanent basis. The role is based out of the Elstree office.
The incumbent will support Smiths Interconnect operational excellence journey by planning & delivering the operations monthly reporting relating to service, inventory, production performance and costs, lead development of metrics and diagnostics that help understand, prioritise and action performance improvement opportunities and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, finance to support development ad adherence to relevant performance insight, root cause analysis and improvement activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work with Operations Finance to deliver monthly supply chain reporting, performance diagnostics, to enable root cause analysis and action planning by teams
* Review and provide advice on opportunities to ensure continuous enhancement of our data presentation and analytics
* Work with other areas in Interconnect including Sales/Customer Service, and the wider Operations and Finance teams, to ensure we are aligned and working collaboratively
* Design and manage analysis packs for monthly (weekly buckets) operations performance, including, output, capacity and utilization, schedule adherence. Highlighting gaps, risks & opportunities to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved and actions defined that impact future performance
* Stress test the numbers to ensure cross site consistency
* Drive best practice in root cause analysis and action planning
* Work with operations senior team to understand operational risk and issues that may impact ability to deliver Global Operations performance
* Support development of broader supply chain processes and systems including process, diagnostic and data quality and compliance development
* Prioritise site level inputs to identify appropriate Global level priorities.
Required Skills and Experience:
* BA/BSc degree
* Some experience in a manufacturing environment; function or business/industry can be Systems, Finance, Commercial or Operations
* Ability to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes
* Experience in and responsibility for framing issues, devising appropriate analysis, and developing recommendations and plans
* Superior analytical, interpretation and problem solving skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills with experience of Visual Basic or Tableau and advantage
* Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and organize efficiently
