Finance Manager

This Finance Manager role is based in a global brand in the North Surrey. They are looking for a finance manager to join their team to manage the end to end IM/CMO Marketing expenditure process and all finance aspects of Marketing expenditure. This Finance Manager role is a 3 month contract.

Key Responsibilities of Finance Manager Role

* Approve Annual marketing campaign budget and plan proposal business cases

* Ensure that marketing spend are managed within HQ guideline and management plan

* Guide pro on ad-hoc budgetary requirement outside of management plan

* Challenge division to ensure that forecasts are robust, stretching and achievable.

* Analyse variance between forecast and actual costs at month end as well as Month on Month movement

* Prepare ad hoc analysis where necessary to highlight and analyse key drivers, assumptions and sensitivities behind the forecast.

* Manage balance sheet open items

* Manage financial aspect of BQMS process. Communicated HQ’s guideline to stakeholders, procurement and marketing team

* Manage Customer Marketing Offer Process in CORES

* Produce value added reporting and analysis to support management and identify significant trends/issues, e.g. monitoring performance versus plan, customer/product profitability etc.

* Approve/Review Marketing payment requests and relevant evidences and audit post-activity reconciliation against agreed Scope of work or Rate cards on Service Level Agreement. Challenge vendor/marketing project owners for any issues identified during the review.

* Lead ad-hoc projects to drive cost efficiencies

Key Attributes of Finance Manager Role

* Qualified/Part Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)

* Up to date knowledge of international accounting standards

* Experience of working in technology or FMCG sectors

* Hands on experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP)

* Strong commercial acumen

* Ability to work in a high pressure environment, take quick and effective decisions and direct others

* Excellent analytical skills to understand business drivers and interpret financial results

* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels, get key messages across succinctly and work with others

* Proven track record in demonstrating accountability and ownership; proactive approach

* Strong influencing skills to persuade management that your conclusions are correct and obtain buy-in

* Strong reporting skills, display key information and convey messages clearly, concisely and with impact
