Account Manager
We have a great new opportunity for an Account Manager. In this role, you will source and manage a competitive and innovative range of experiences, whilst identifying and securing new accounts to enhance the portfolio.
You will be highly organised, a clear communicator, have excellent relationship management, be creative, commercially aware, strong negotiator and results driven.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the agreed Category Strategies ensuring targets are met.
2. Be accountable for categories allocated, with commercial ownership and ensure we deliver the most attractive, competitive and relevant products for our customers.
3. Proactively manage accounts to develop strong business relationships, maximise sales and optimise performance, quality, service and innovation.
4. Build out annual plans with key accounts to include new product and promotions to meet the requirements of our seasonal marketing activity.
5. Be the main point of contact for allocated accounts and ensure that all queries are addressed in a timely manner
6. Identify and secure new accounts to enhance the product portfolio. Select the best providers in the industry.
7. Cold call to prospect for new business.
8. Conduct confident pitch presentations to win new accounts.
9. Negotiate and delivery content with current and potential accounts.
10. Research and source market leading promotional offers to satisfy margin requirements of key clients and direct sale and within required framework/brief
11. Ensure that capacity planning and service and delivery considerations are fully discussed with accounts from the outset and considered at every stage of selection and launch.
12. Work with the account operations team to ensure they receive all the details required to set up new products and promotions correctly and within agreed timescales.
13. Represent the company at networking evenings, weekend events and familiarisation trips where required.
Person Specification:
Skills:-
* Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with accounts, members of the account’s team and other colleagues.
* Outstanding relationship management, to have the ability to empathise with our accounts’ business and utilise knowledge to influence a favourable outcome.
* Dynamic and tenacious individual to research products and create leads.
* Highly organised to be able to manage a number of different projects and requirements at one time.
* Exceptional eye for detail.
* Ability to use tools and techniques to profile, benchmark, research and assess the experiences market as a whole, in particular for the allocated categories; risks; competition; trends and new opportunities to ensure continuity of supply, the best value is achieved and to keep the company ahead of the competition.
Qualifications and Expertise:-
* 2+ years account management experience.
* 2+ years buying or sales experience, within an eCommerce environment.
Experience:-
* Used to working in a dynamic, fast moving, customer service focused environment.
* Team player, loves a challenge, can work under pressure and to deadline.
* Ability to work on own initiative and without continual direct supervision.
* Strong negotiator with the ability to challenge objections.
Knowledge:-
* Very good level of numeracy and working knowledge of Excel.
* Very good level of written work and proficiency with Word, Power Point and Google Docs.
Competencies:-
* Ability to understand the wider company vision and ensure the accounts’ function fully contributes in upholding and delivering this
* Outstanding negotiator with a track record for successfully converting leads.
* Strong commercial understanding, the ability to measure partner and product effectiveness and contribution to the bottom line
* Strong grasp of calculating margins and ability to analyse sales data to make decisions on future products
* Exceptional eye for detail and high level of accuracy
* Ability to work well under pressure and deliver to deadlines
