Position - Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location - Oxford

Reporting to - Supervisor

Desired Experience & or Qualifications

* City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent

* 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations

* Previous service & maintenance experience

* Building Services background

* BMS knowledge (desirable)

* Minor fabric and plumbing works will be required

* Good organisational & communication skills

* Ability to work as an individual and within a team

* An enthusiastic and committed approach

* Ability to work under pressure and support the team respectively

Typical Duties

* Working for one of the UK's leading Facilities Management and Engineering Service providers, we are seeking a qualified electrician with planned and reactive maintenance experience to work within a manufacturing environment on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern. You will need to have excellent communication skills at all levels, happy to work unsupervised and be competent in the completion of statutory paperwork.

* Maintaining the integrity of the Building Services plant. Duties will be controlled and distributed through a Helpdesk Service. This will include general maintenance, repair, modifications and upgrades.

* As and when required monitor and support specialist sub-contractors to enable them to carry out their duties in the most efficient manner and with minimal disruption to the client’s premises.

* Using a high degree of personal integrity to keep the client and the Contract Manager full aware of site conditions and outstanding problems as they arise and provide effective solutions to rectify then as quickly as possible.

* Support other Engineers on site as and when required and liaise with other members of direct and indirect staff to carry out duties effectively and with minimal disruption.

* Uphold the integrity of the company at all times.

* Assist in the preparation of company reports, work sheets and support client service level agreements and procedures as required.

* Carry out duties within company safety policy and advise line manager of all situations which could affect the safety of people or property.

* Support other Engineers in the region as and when required and liaise with other members of direct and indirect staff to carry out duties effectively and with minimal disruption.

Annual Basic Salary £30,000 – £35,000 (subject to skills, qualifications and experience) for a 40 Hr/wk, 20 days holiday and specialist tools provided. This is a shift role working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
