PAY & BENEFITS

• £55,000 per annum (PAYE)

Burton Latimer, Thrapston, Brigstock, Kettering, Market Harborough, Northampton, Wellingborough, Moulton, Corby, Great Oakley, Rothwell, Desborough, Higham Ferrers, Rushden, Oundle, Rugby, Lutterworth, Alconbury.

COMPANY

Our client is a major supplier of bespoke automated equipment to a number of high profile companies within the warehouse distribution sector. They carry out the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and maintenance of this equipment all over the world.

ROLE

You will be analysing, modelling and designing automated materials handling solutions for the Logistics industry - this will also involve the creation of technical proposal documents to support sales bids.

You will be working from the company’s head office most of the time, though some travel to client sites will be necessary at times.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

The position requires a wide range of skills, including but not limited to the following:

• Analysing customer requirements.

• Modelling data flows to support solutions design.

• Designing automated warehouse sub system solutions for customers around the world (up to the value of roughly £3m).

• Preparing technical proposal documents.

• Liaising with suppliers to assess the most appropriate equipment for company bids.

• Keeping abreast of technical developments to ensure the company bids utilise current technology.

• Arranging and participating in meetings, conferences and project team activities.

• Following company Health and Safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• It is ESSENTIAL that you have a background in designing material handling systems.

• It is ESSENTIAL that you have an in-date UK driving licence.

• It is ESSENTIAL that you are comfortable presenting to groups of up to 10 people on a regular basis.

• It would be IDEAL if you have designed automated systems for companies in the Warehouse Distribution sector in the past, though this is not essential.

• It would be IDEAL if you are educated to a degree level, though this is not essential.
