Category Manager opportunity with branded experience within multi-channel retailer based in the Greater Manchester area - £50,000 plus package & immediate start.

Zachary Daniels are partnering with a multichannel lifestyle retailer with a new role for an Experienced Buyer or Category manager with experience of managing branded product ranges, for their Head Office in Greater Manchester.

They are looking for driven and like-minded individuals to drive growth and therefore this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to make a major impact with this exciting lifestyle business.

Your responsibilities as a Category Manager for our client will include:

* Developing and implementing the range strategy to maximise the budgeted financial business targets

* Delivering innovative and seasonally linked products; understanding and leading customers

* Regularly reviewing performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels

* Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products

* Keeping abreast of new trends and competitor activity, and taking advantage of new ideas/concepts and products

* You will develop the strategy for your product categories as well as plan, organise and develop ranges that will ensure the business stands out from the crowd

* To work closely with all relevant departments in order to develop a deep understanding of operational requirements to aid buying decisions

In order to be considered for this role, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

* Currently working at a Buyer or Category manager level

* Branded product buying experience within a head office environment

* Experienced Trader; translating Trading trends and market trends to sales opportunities.

* Strong understanding of Multi-Channel Retailing.

* This role requires somebody who is reliable, resilient and flexible, highly motivated and enthusiastic to help drive this business forward.

* Strong understanding of the life cycle of a product and seasonal reactivity.

* Experience in strategic, tactical development, sourcing, buying and marketing plans.

* High Attention to detail

* Self-motivated and able to motivate and incentivise your team

* Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to stretch all aspects and deal with tough suppliers
