Compliance / Governance Lead (Medical)

A non-clinical Compliance / Governance Lead is needed to join a cutting edge virtual healthcare company based in Finsbury Park. This “Virtual Hospital” is leading the way in changes to way patients receive stress free referrals and specialist care in the UK. They are now looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Compliance / Governance Lead to manage the growing needs of the business.

Based conveniently in open plan, modern offices in Finsbury Park, North London this healthcare company are enjoying continued success and a period of rapid growth where they hope to double in size over the next 12 months. Reporting into the Company Secretary the Compliance / Governance will enjoy taking the lead in the Governance Improvement Programme. Whether you are preparing compliance audit data, keeping systems up-to-date with procedures, processes and policies, ensuring the company is compliant with national local legal requirements, maintaining compliance documentation, running rigorous checks on all data systems, creating and enforcing quality controls systems, or managing data security issues, the Compliance / Governance Lead will be kept busy dealing with all matters related to regulatory requirements and best practice.

The role of the Compliance / Governance Lead will offer critical support during this important upscaling stage for the business.

To qualify. Whether you call yourself a Compliance Manager / Compliance Lead / Governance Manager / Governance Lead / Regulatory Manager / Regulatory Lead or similar you will have a CV that can demonstrate:


  • Experience of working in a Legal, NHS or Employer regulation compliance role;
  • You are educated to degree level or equivalent in a related field;
  • Experience in leading projects and implementing new initiatives;
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of data protection;
  • Experience of hands-on research and investigative projects;
  • The ability to work alone, under pressure and to manage conflicting priorities;
  • You are highly organised and efficient with the ability to juggle multiple projects.

A knowledge or understanding of the healthcare industry / NHS would be beneficial but is not essential to be considered for the role.

A working knowledge of Information Governance Compliance would be highly desirable. If you have specific information governance experience, please provide details in your covering letter.
