My client is one of the UK’s fastest growing companies which delivering global IT solutions through their own teams and partners.

Reporting to the CEO, the Programme Manager has ownership of the company programme which is supporting global clients in delivering improvement and transformational IT projects.

This appointment will suit a highly-motivated self-starter with strong organisational skills and who can work at pace. Project or programme management experience is essential as the successful candidate will be the lead for reinforcing project management rigour within the programme space. IT experience is not essential but would help.

Role and Responsibilities:

This company provides a comprehensive range of IT services that offer clients flexibility, scalability and support when and where it is most needed. Services range from remote service desk support to dedicated on-site engineers, IT asset inventory audits and forensic cyber security testing. Global reach with local service for large and mid-sized businesses.

Leading a team of professional project managers, the Programme Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, reporting, management control and financial control of projects ensuring successful and timely delivery to customer requirements and revenue targets. The Programme Manager will have full management responsibilities for his programme team including performance reporting and professional development.

Additionally, the Programme Manager will contribute to the bid and sales proposal processes by providing clear definitions for project scope and deliverables; providing project pricing and providing risk assessment for senior management review.

The Programme Manager will be expected to be the Company subject matter expert on P3M and ensure that project management rigour and controls are maintained to professional standards.

Skills and experience:

* Essential - programme or project management experience ideally in information technology.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal and client relationships.

* Strong leadership and influencing skills.

* IT experience desirable but not essential

Qualifications:

* Essential: PRINCE2 or MSP or equivalent

* Desirable: Degree level qualification
