Assistant Project Manager

What will you be responsible for?

Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the customer’s satisfaction on behalf of the relevant Project Manager.

Ensuring planning / scheduling & coordination of the project ensuring all documentation is correctly maintained in Oracle.

Assisting the Project Manager in producing the financial reports, including managing financial performance through Oracle.

Assisting in the Contractual and legislative Quality and Health & Safety requirements for all projects.

Reporting project performance (KPIs) to the relevant manager, highlighting and managing all risks & issues and their mitigations throughout the project life cycle.

Day to day support ensuring project team achieves project milestones.

Assisting in ensuring projects are properly launched with the right stakeholders into the business.

Ensuring QEHS are engaged on projects at the right times taking a proactive approach in managing quality standards and the prevention of Health and Safety Issues.

Customer liaison and stakeholder management as and where required.

Assisting the Project Manager in managing project “Close Out”, including final accounts process and project archiving.

What experience and behaviours are we looking for?

Demand management awareness

QEHS awareness

Proven Ability to work under pressure

Good Customer communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels in the business

Understanding of risk and issue management

Understanding of project planning principles and toolset

Practical use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Practical use of a Document Management System e.g. Oracle UCM

Microsoft Project

Prince 2 Foundation or PFQ would be beneficial
