Our client who are a service provider organisation in the Chorley area are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. This company has seen substantial growth over the past 15 years and it is an exciting time to be joining them as part of their continued expansion. You will be joining an effective and efficient team where you will be given the opportunity to expand your skillset.

Main Job Role:

  • Reporting to the Finance Manager
  • High volume Purchase Ledger
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
  • Preparing accounts for payment runs
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices / credit notes and posting to the ledgers
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
  • Dealing with invoice queries and reconciling statements
  • Supporting the finance team with accounts payable and in other areas of accounts as and when required
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients

Person Specification:

  • Solid purchase ledger experience
  • Currently studying towards AAT qualification would be an advantage
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively across a diverse internal team
  • Capability to provide accurate & timely information
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good systems knowledge including Excel
  • Motivated and hard working
  • Flexible and adaptable
