Telephone Business Development Manager

Location - Bath

Salary: Up to £40,000(dependent on skills and experience)

Benefits: (28 days holiday +bank holiday, pension, bonus)

Our client's platform division is a growing, successful business and one of the largest employers in central Bath. Their investment platform is used by financial advisers to manage their clients' money and has grown into an award winning, flexible and transparent service that allows both advisers and investors view and manage their investment portfolios in one place online. Their business continues to grow rapidly and it is an open, honest and dynamic place to work.

We now have an opportunity for a Telephone Business Development Manager to join our successful team based in bath. This is an exciting time to join the business, playing a pivotal role in driving growth.

The key purpose of the role is to support the delivery of the distribution strategy by conducting targeted sales activity to sign up new firms to build and maintain key relationships with business owners and platform users by proactive engagement and assisting with new business and propositional enquiries. You will identify business development opportunities with existing users and focus on retention of existing assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, advisers and key administration staff at our clients firms.
  • Work with the Training team to ensure all users of the platform are competent and accredited in using the platform to maximise asset flow with your panel.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with all internal departments and key stakeholders within the business
  • Establish and agree an account plan with the firm which details the new AUA to be moved onto the platform and the timescales / requirements to achieve this.
  • The role holder will manage a panel of between 20-25 adviser firms

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • You should have a detailed understanding of all platform functionality and other connecting software tools.
  • A good knowledge of the wealth management market
  • Experience within Financial Services
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to manage and develop key relationships.
  • You must be personable and confident with advisers and be able to take initiative when challenges present themselves.
  • Good planning and organisational skills are essential to make sure answers and campaigns are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ability to prioritise your workload effectively and to handle multiple tasks under a pressure is essential in making sure adviser relationships remain strong.
  • You need to remain professional and courteous at all times with both internal and external relationships
