Our brand new state of the art cardiovascular centre - Barts Heart Centre, at St Bartholomew’s Hospital is now open! The amalgamation of Barts Health NHS Trust and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) specialised cardiovascular services represents a unique and exciting opportunity to create and grow a world class service. The Barts Heart Centre Radiography department is currently looking for enthusiastic Specialist Radiographers to join our team.

The cardiac rotation can be tailored to the skill set and interests of the individual. The normal rotation includes cardiac cath labs (including coronary intervention, structural heart intervention, electrophysiology, and pacing) with progression to cardiac CT and Cardiac CMR. Optional weekend lists and other shifts are available on the staff bank. The Cath Labs have a popular on-call system to cover the out-of-hours Heart Attack and Arrhythmia service.

The Barts Heart Centre is one of the largest cardiac centres in the world, and our highly specialist Radiography team has the expertise required to provide excellent training and on-going support for the successful applicants.

The department boasts a wealth of state-of-the-art equipment, with three dedicated cardiac MRI scanners, a dedicated cardiac CT scanner, and ten cardiac catheter labs. There is significant on-going investment, with three new replacement single-plane cath labs currently being procured; and the addition of a further bi-plane hybrid cath lab, and single-plane hybrid theatre.
