DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY, PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE
Band 9, Full-Time substantive role.
The Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated individual to undertake the role of Director of Strategy, Planning and Performance.
The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of the Trust's 5-year strategy, development of the 1-year operational plan and leadership of the performance and project management office functions within the Trust.
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the strategic plan is embedded into operational and programme planning and underpinned by robust performance management across the Trust. This will also include full oversight of all cross-organisational projects through the PMO, including delivery against the Trust's operational and strategic plans.
Leadership of the performance function will be a critical role in ensuring that there is a robust accountability framework in place, with well-defined escalation processes in the event of under-delivery, and the performance remit will cover oversight of clinical divisions, corporate and trust-wide performance. The post-holder will also be expected to contribute strategically to the development of future efficiency programmes, to ensure sustainable delivery which will support improvements in the Trust's long-term financial position.
The Director of Strategy, Planning & Performance will work closely with and report to the Deputy Chief Executive, and will also have key relationships with other Executive Directors, Divisional Leadership Teams and corporate teams. Other key relationships will be working with partners across the Rotherham Place as well as partners across South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Integrated Care System (ICS) to ensure our integration and collaboration agenda is progressed and driven forward.
This is a high-profile role as the post-holder will play a leading role in the development of the health and care strategic agenda across Rotherham and the wider ICS, support colleagues across the organisation in understanding and engaging with these plans and then ensuring that this is translated into the operational planning for the Trust through the annual business planning cycle.
The role is key part of the Deputy Chief Executive's structure, and will be a direct report to the Deputy Chief Executive.
Closing Date Friday 1 st March 2019
