Role : Strategic Pricing Projects Manager

Location: Leeds

Rate: £400.00 - £500.00 per day

Stafforce in Leeds are recruiting for a Strategic Pricing Manager to join their prestigious Client based in the Leeds area. Our Client is looking for someone with very strong analytical skills who is happy to roll their sleeves up and undertake analysis of trends and delve into reasons and angles to present a story to the business around these.

What your day will look like:

50-60% analytical

Other 40% - attending meetings to define pieces of work and projects – requests for insight etc.

- Summarising actions/points

- Producing reports

- Presenting on findings (stories) to Stakeholders – not senior Stakeholders but Manager Level

Planning work

The ideal candidate will have very good analytical, insight and trends analysis type skills in a retail environment (ideally with a pricing slant) and will also have the people and communication skills to liaise with the business re presenting findings and telling a story re findings and for defining what is required for specific projects and pieces of work.

Scope:

Team sits within the customer function and has come about due to additional bandwidth being required to work across the function supporting across various projects, providing analysis, ad hoc pricing and strategy requests and will cover all disciplines both food and non food. Some of the work may be responding to specific Stakeholder requests so project based but most will be more strategic to include:

* Dealing with ad hoc business queries
* Being involved in executive leadership discussions around pricing
* Specific requests that are project based
* Analysis – data crunching, trends and presenting back to the business at a senior level
* Some project based support to others

The role will require someone who is experienced in working cross functionally in a complex, matrix managed environment and operating cross functionally with senior Stakeholders

Skills:

* Proven track record in pricing within a retail environment
* Very good communication skills and Stakeholder skills
* Able to operate cross functionally with specific senior Stakeholders across finance, marketing, retail and trading
* Strong analytical skills
* Good commercial experience and business acumen
* Experience in large, complex organisations
* Influencing skills
