Our market leading client in Borehamwood are seeking a Website Optimisation Manager/eCommerce Development Manager for their thriving organisation.

About the eCommerce Team:

You will sit within the Marketing department, reporting into the Head of Ecommerce.

The eCommerce Team is a team of traders, website merchandisers, web designers, and UX/CRO specialists. Together they are accountable for ensuring the delivery of B2C sales and conversion targets through all marketing channels within budgeted spend constraints. The team co-ordinates across many different areas of the business, including digital marketing and acquisition, buying, fulfilment and IT.

About the role

We’re looking for a forward thinking individual who is passionate about eCommerce. You will be responsible for leading the delivery and development of digital functionality improvements, with a focus on driving conversion rates, and hence meeting sales targets. You will be part of a wider team of Product Owners and will work closely with the team to deliver the CRO roadmap. This role will work closely with the web design team, web optimisation team and web trading team, and will cover the main websites, our Recipient Activation/Exchange websites, and any products developed in the future (such as Apps, etc).

This role will best suit an individual who is well organised, pragmatic, and a lateral thinker, with an inquisitive mind who is motivated to work both individually and as part of a team.

The nature of the role means it varies from supporting live issues on current technologies, developing roadmaps, and supporting product creation from conception to live.

  • Ownership of specific product areas and full responsibility for leading the development of these areas, including:
  • Take responsibility for delivering an improved user experience for the website (and other products), using a customer centric perspective to help drive customer requirements and hence meet B2C sales targets, including:
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of AB testing strategy
  • Be key member of team identifying opportunities for improved/new website functionalities, specifically working alongside Web Trading Team to identify customer drop out points or low converting functionality, and to develop technical solutions to alleviate these pinch points

You must have a minimum of 3 years Digital Website Development experience - with a focus on CROHave prior experience in a similar role for an Ecommerce based business / transactional websiteAble to demonstrate exposure to and experience of being a key project stakeholder in web-based projects and able to head projects independentlyExceptional web analytics knowledge (either SiteCatalyst/Omniture, Google Analytics, Coremetrics)Experience of using EndecaExperience of working with UX/development teamsExperience as a Product Owner or Project Manager would be highly beneficial
