Opportunities have arisen for Assistant Psychologist to join a CQC rated ‘Outstanding’ independent hospital that specialises in providing the highest quality of service to people with longstanding mental health problems. Based in Borehamwood, the successful Assistant Psychologist will earn a salary of £18,749 per annum.

You will be initially employed for 6 months in the capacity of Recovery Support Worker, gaining a thorough understanding of a whole team approach to care and a detailed knowledge of our patient group, prior to being considered for an Assistant Psychologist role. Upon successful completion of this 6-month period, the successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Psychologist under the supervision of an in-house Clinical Psychologist.

- Delivering a caring and effective, patient focused service.
- Delivering sensitive and appropriate clinical care to meet individual’s needs.
- Respecting personal dignity and beliefs
- Working closely with the nursing team
- Interacting in a positive and natural manner with all patients
- Identifying signs that may indicate that patients are at risk either to others or to themselves and reporting these concerns to the relevant staff members
- Reporting any concerning behaviours or conversation topics with patients immediately

Additional Information

The company deliver the following psycho-social interventions: Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), DBT, individual and group CBT and Mindfulness.

These posts are offering a salary of £18,749.00 per annum, pro rata, and work to the following shift pattern: Full-Time - A 2-week rolling pattern of 12.5-hour shifts (08:00-20:30), 3 days one week (Wed, Thur, Fri), 4 days the next (Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun). Please be aware that there will be a requirement to work occasional night shifts, currently 1 week in 5.

All appointments to the hospital service are subject to registration with the Vetting and Barring scheme and the receipt of a Disclosure at the appropriate level which is acceptable to the company. The hospital service is an equal opportunities employer.
