Corporate Commercial Partner
Traditional mid-sized Central London law firm with a long history of providing a full range of legal services to its established clientele seeks to appoint a company commercial partner. The firm acts on behalf of a range of clients including mid-sized companies, family offices, HNW individuals, charities, private banks and asset managers.
The department covers a range of corporate work including company structuring, partnerships, M&A, joint ventures and intellectual property. The firm is a member of several international legal alliances and they have had success in generating inward bound corporate work from a number of jurisdictions.
For reasons to include firm strategy and succession planning the need has arisen for a company commercial partner to join as heir apparent to the present head of department. It is envisaged that succession will take place within the next few years.
Suitable candidates are likely to be partners at small to mid-sized London or possibly regional law firms. You will have a broad range of company commercial experience and will be ambitious and ultimately seeking to lead a department. The roll will have management responsibilities in respect of trainees and assistant solicitors.
The department collaborates well with other departments in the firm and you will get involved in the further development of their cross selling and business development strategy. The firm is directory rated in a number of practice areas and this is an opportunity with significant potential and prospects for the successful candidate.
