Plans4rehab are currently looking for a Clinical Lead Nurse in the field of Acquired Brain Injury to join our team, close to the centre of Leicester. Plans4Rehab is a Community provider of specialised care. We offer a seamless pathway of services from our residential rehabilitation and care for people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) stroke or other neurological condition, to their support in independent living accommodation or at home.

You will be clinically qualified as RGN and ideally have experience of working within brain injury rehabilitation. As the lead nurse you would be expected to provide clinical leadership to the staff team, helping form and maintain standards of the home as well as work with the management team to improve current procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role and it would be desirable for you to have some form of neurological exposure. Some key areas the home cover are:

•Nursing Care

•Residential Care

•Physical Disability

•Brain Injury Rehabilitation services

•Mental health

The home has a full Multi-disciplinary team and has state of the art equipment to support the rehabilitation of the residents.

This is a very exciting position for the group. We are seeking a candidate with the following qualities:

•Strong leadership skills, the post will include shift work and weekends. You will be the most senior person on duty.

•Strong clinical background in ABI/Neuro-rehab (ideally)

•Ability to help improve the current policies and procedures through your experience

•Experience of challenging behaviour and the ability to remain calm and role model to the team

•Experience of problem solving

Minimum requirements:

  • Active NMC PIN (RGN)
  • Experience of working within ABI
  • Flexibility and a willingness to participate in an on call rota


  • Experience of working with challenging behaviour
  • Mentor Qualification
  • Service development experience (supporting the manager)
  • Knowledge of effective quality management systems
  • Ability to deputise for the Clinical Nurse Manager when required.

•Nursing: 2 years
