REED Education are working in partnership with a large Secondary School in Milton Keynes in their search for Head of MFL to start in April 2019.

This is a permanent and full-time position and as well as leading the department you will be expected to teach from Key Stage 3-5 classes when required.

Our school is commutable from Buckingham, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Bedford.

Leading a motivated and hard-working team you will be expected to plan exciting and challenging schemes of work for ambitious pupils who are keen to achieve. Our School are ideally looking for a Geography specialist but would consider applicants with a varied Humanities background.

The successful candidate will: -

Have the ability to teach at least one language from Year 7 upwards
Be passionate about their subject area and a good role model to students
Experience of planning department schemes of work beneficial but not essential
Be comfortable teaching in Key Stage 5 if required
Be innovative and have a strong classroom presence
Have excellent communication skills and be able to lead a team of specialist teachers
