Administration/ Finance Assistant

Job Title: Administration/ Finance Assistant

Type of position: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £18k - £25k p.a. (depending on experience)

Location: Kings Hill, Kent

The Company:

Launched in 2003, greenstone is an independent, award winning and leading UK direct marketing solutions provider. We deliver a range of services including advanced database bureau services, data hygiene, data provision, insight and analytics, database software development, on and off-site consultancy and hosted marketing/operational database solutions.

The Role:

Credit control, processing of staff expenses, support the processing of client & supplier invoices, producing royalty declaration statements for external partners, accounts software reporting, answering incoming phone lines and re-directing calls, general administration duties expected within a small company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier and customer invoices and bank payments using Xero
  • Lead User of Xero accounting software within the business
  • Credit control - chasing payments via phone, email and letters
  • Administration and accounting for petty cash and employee expenses
  • Regular liaison with the company’s accountants
  • Production of supplier royalty declaration reports
  • General administration, namely: data entry, typing letters, scanning documents, receiving clients for meetings, filing and answering the telephone
  • Other related duties as required by senior colleagues.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 3 good A level passes (grades A-C)
  • Grade A or B in English and Maths GCSE
  • At least 2 years direct, relevant experience
  • Experience of working with Xero

Technical Skills:

Good skills in the use of MS Word and MS Excel - in particular MS Excel experience valuable.

Experience of using Xero
