Stock Management Assistant - Head Office, Eastbourne

Full Time – 37½ hours per week

Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 5pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual with an aptitude for figures and data to join our Stock Management Department at our Head Office in Eastbourne as Stock Management Assistant.

Providing support to our 170 strong branch network, this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied role orientated around Stock Management and the analysis of stock related data.

Working as part of the Company’s Stock Management department, the successful applicant will work closely with both the Stock team and other Commercial departments at our Head Office in Eastbourne. Occasional visits around our branch network will be required.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Supporting our Head Office based Stock team and area Stock Management teams on all matters relating to stock
  • Providing assistance and advice to our branches regarding review of stock profiles and handling stock related queries
  • Assisting the team on branch visits to support with any projects and assisting in the valuation of stock at the time of acquisitions
  • Assisting the Company Stock Coordinator in the support of the Regional Stock Coordinators
  • Ensuring that branches are where possible ordering at the best possible prices
  • The creation and review of stock related reporting on a regular basis and in addition on an ad hoc basis as requested by the Stock Management team.
  • Preparation of the monthly Stock Co-ordination newsletter, uploading of new stock profiles to support large scale range changes and other tasks as requested by the stock team.

  • A meticulous approach to your work with an aptitude for working with figures and data
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately to a high standard
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to an intermediate level, in particular with Excel, although training will be provided for the suitable candidate
  • A strong work focus with excellent organisational skills
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Keen to learn and develop skills
