This company is looking for a high calibre engineering team leader/supervisor to join their team in Preston/Kirkham. As an engineering team leader/supervisor you will be overseeing a team of 3 engineers and setters.
Your New Job
As an engineering team leader you will be tasked with the following, setting of complex expensive equipment and machinery, maintenance of expensive equipment and machinery, sourcing and ordering parts and equipment and to ensure these are available on breakdowns, ensuring that the correct procedures are carried out on the maintenance of plant and equipment so as not to compromise the product, responsible for designing/developing and making change parts to improve existing and new production processes, set up decisions for new products - This involves the choice of machinery/equipment to be used to suit filling andpackagingrequirements. This often involves the need to design, develop, make and modify to suit the product. Judgement on which equipment to use to achieve optimum packing line speeds & output, maintenance decisions on plant, equipment and machinery. Any failures need to be rectified in the shortest possible time (under pressure to repair due to the down time costs). To set the machinery and equipment to achieve optimum working speeds. Decisions to ensure the quality of the finished product through the optimum setting of the machinery and equipment. Responsible for the planning and preparation of equipment/machinery for set ups to be completed in the optimum time. This requires the need to consider equipment that is available or that will be required on imminent setup’s. Carrying out repairs on critical plant that needs to be attended to on an urgent basis to ensure continual production, e.g. steam and hot water generation, mains water, compressed air, air conditioning, DI water and electrical power. Packing room machinery and equipment failure needs to be solved quickly and efficiently. Manufacturing plant and equipment to be repaired in line with time constraints. Solving problems to produce new products in the most economical and efficient method. Assist in the careful planning and prioritising the daily workload of the department taking responsibility when the supervisor is absent on shift cover.
Your Experience and Requirements
Quantica are searching for candidates that are time served engineers, competent mechanical/fault finding experience, with at least 3 years+ of proven relevant management experience.
