Our client, a leading organisation in their field are currently recruiting for an experienced payroll assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis. Working in a small close knit team, reporting directly to the payroll manager, you will be responsible for the full start to finish payroll processing for employers on a weekly and monthly basis. Your main duties and responsibilities will be: Updating employee payroll on bespoke system Processing payroll from start to finish on a weekly and monthly basis Processing BACS payments to 3rd party agencies Reconciliation of payroll and ensure any issues are dealt with correctly Assisting with year end Supporting junior payroll administrators and providing training Handling employee enquiries Various ad hoc administrative duties as and when required To be considered for this position, you will be an experienced Payroll Assistant who is looking for a new and challenging role. You will have a strong understanding of the current payroll legislation, be comfortable meeting tight deadlines on a weekly and monthly basis and enjoy working in a team environment. Candidates who are looking for their next step in their career and are looking to progress to a more supervising and support role would also be at an advantage as this role allows the successful candidate to support the Payroll Manager directly with the junior team members training and support.
