Redmill Consulting world-renowned client is currently looking for a Finance Manager this is for a part-time vacancy for 3 days per week. Based near excellent public transport links and with free-parking , this opportunity will ideally suit senior Accountants who have strong business partnering skills with the capability of managing a team. As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for the management and delivery of various planning, budgeting and reporting exercises required by the organisation including the 5-Year financial plan, ongoing financial budgeting & monitoring timetable & outputs, monthly management accounts & quarterly and year-end forecasting JOB As Finance Manager you will have the opportunity to be involved with the following: Managing a team Supporting the development of a rolling five-year financial plan Consolidation of individual plans for each business area Undertaking analytical review and trend analysis to advise on the alignment/compliance of plans Supporting and challenging assumptions, using professional judgement and experience Taking the leading role in pre-planning and Planning Round meetings Ensuring that action points flowing from planning rounds meetings are followed up and resolved Managing the production of monthly management accounting information Managing the team responsible for preparation, ensuring consistent standard Identifying & analysing key financial trends, including quarterly reforecasts of year-end outturn Identifying & analysing variances against budget Creating a value-add commentary on the financial performance for inclusion in the consolidated monthly management accounting pack Creating, analysing & reconciling certain local balance sheet items Driving efficiency improvements Preparing financial statements Assigning responsibilities among the Management Accounting team for production of elements of the notes, analytical review and commentary Liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders both financial and non-financial YOU As Finance Manager you will be skilled and/or qualified in the following: Knowledgeable of most of the above tasks Demonstrable management skills You will be a specialist in the production of management accounts Fully Qualified Accountant Qualified to degree standard At least five years of post-qualification financial and management accounting experience within a large, complex organisation Managed budgeting & strategic planning within a complex environment. Developed business cases with non-finance professionals and presented these at senior level. Extensive experience of working with and influencing senior management Advanced skills in the use of all MS Office products, especially MS Excel (excellent skills required), MS PowerPoint & MS Word Knowledge of an ERP finance package would be strongly preferred Should this role be of interest please apply by attaching your most up to date CV.
