I am currently representing a well established local client who are looking to hire an Assistant Accountant to work on a full time bases, based in Newmarket, Suffolk.
Joining an established team, this role is responsible for all transactional elements of their accounts department, typical duties include:
Taking accounts through to trial balance.
Dealing with all bank reconcilliations.
Balance sheet as well as profit and loss preparations.
Reconciling credit card invoices and statements.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Other adhoc duties.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
AAT4 or ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
Proven track record in an accounting role.
Able to work within a team as well as under own initiative with real attention to detail.
IT Literate - able to use a wide variety of systems as well as use Excel to a high level.
Excellent communication skills
