This is an exciting and varied position as a DevOps engineer at a Government client in Coventry.

As a member of the DevOps team you will be working at the cutting edge of cloud technology and solutions. You will be interacting with multiple project streams, working with multiple applications and building common platforms and practices for them.

You will be part of a team and responsible operating, building and configuring cloud native infrastructure and services, supporting agile software development practices including continuous deployment and providing operational support to live applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and monitor live applications
  • Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure
  • Design, build and maintain deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps (VSTS)
  • Manage integrations between hosting platforms and applications
  • Deploy and monitor software and configuration changes
  • Automate efficient working practices where possible

Mandatory Skills and Experience Required
  • Microsoft Azure PaaS (App Services, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Azure Search, KeyVault)
  • ARM Template design and execution
  • Powershell or C# .NET
  • Configuration and Release Management using Azure DevOps (VSTS)
  • Self starter and comfortable with operational support

Other Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Past experience of working in a DevOps environment
  • Experience of working within a fast paced Agile environment
  • Elastic Search
  • NodeJS
  • Ruby on Rails
